Generally speaking, each Cozart™ image is a visual story of an experience or perception of a given situation that found its way into the memory bank of the artist and refused to leave. Guinn's works are examples of pictorial explanations.


The Online Catalog

Early Series Prints: Three of Cozetta Gray Guinn's artworks have been reproduced as (unnumbered) prints in a limited edition of 750 signed by the artist. The prints are 18x24 and are reproduced on Acid Free 80# linen-textured paper. The images available in this early series are "First Born," "Flitty," and "Sunday Morning at Bethel."

Limited Edition Prints: Ten more of Cozetta Gray Guinn's artworks have been reproduced in a run of limited edition prints. The prints are 18x24 and are reproduced on Acid Free 80# linen-textured paper in a run of 300 numbered prints, signed by the artist. This first 100 numbered prints are artist's proofs.

Note Cards: Five of the artworks reproduced as limited edition prints (see above) have also been re-created as a series of note cards with the addition of five other artworks from Cozart™ (for a total of ten images). This line of note cards is available for purchase as individual cards or in a box of ten.

C. Guinn will teach the following courses this year:
¬ De Anza College - Winter Quarter: History and Intercultural International Studies (History 16B and ICS 16B) History of Africa 1800 to Present.

¬ San Jose City College - Spring Semester: History (History 021) Introduction to African American History, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:15am.


C. Guinn will act as curator for the following exhibit:
¬ Yaaba Soore: The Path of the Ancestors -- The Nettye Goddard African American Cultural Center: 50 Years of Civic Engagement. From January 22 to February 15, 2007 at the California History Center Foundation, De Anza College, Cupertino, CA.
Note: There will be a reception on Tuesday, February 6, 2007.


C. Guinn will participate as an artist in the following shows:
